The Reedy Creek Fire Department Fire Prevention Division was established in 1968 to enforce the EPCOT Fire Code and ensure the fire and life safety of the public. The Fire Prevention Division provides the following services:

  • Periodic fire & life safety inspections
  • New construction, renovation, and specialty plans review & permit inspections
  • Fire & Life Safety Education programs
  • Knox Box program
  • Administrative Bulletins – Fire Prevention provides up-to-date information, FAQ’s, permitting submittal requirements, and fee schedules via administrative bulletins.

In 2016, Reedy Creek Improvement District adopted the Florida Fire Prevention Code for use within the District. Requests for permit inspections can be made via ACA or the IVR system. All other requests or questions can be made via email sent to fireprevention@oversightdistrict.org.
