Central Florida Tourism Oversight District offers all employees a comprehensive and flexible benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, retirement, and educational support. These benefits, programs, and services were designed as part of the District's commitment to ensure our employees are happy and healthy in all aspects of their lives.

Benefits available to full time, regular employees:

HEALTH INSURANCE
CFTOD offers a choice of three different medical plan options to our employees.

Machine Readable Files

This link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.

DENTAL INSURANCE
CFTOD offers a choice of four dental plan options.

VISION INSURANCE
The plan provides coverage for routine eye examinations, required corrective lenses, and frames when in-network providers are used.

MEDICAL FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT
This is a reimbursement plan that allows employees to utilize pre-tax earnings to cover the out-of-pocket cost for eligible healthcare expenses that are not covered by medical insurance. Participation in this plan is voluntary.

DEPENDENT CARE SPENDING ACCOUNT
This is a reimbursement plan that allows employees to utilize pre-tax earnings to cover out-of-pocket costs for eligible dependent care expenses. Participation in this plan is voluntary.

EMPLOYEE SHORT-TERM DISABILITY
Employer-provided Short-term disability benefits are available after a one-week waiting period.

EMPLOYEE LONG-TERM DISABILITY
Employer-provided Long-term disability benefits are available after a 90-day waiting period.

EMPLOYEE LIFE INSURANCE
CFTOD provides life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage two times an employee’s base annual earnings; An employee may purchase additional life insurance coverage. Limitations apply.

DEPENDENT LIFE INSURANCE
Optional spouse and child-dependent life insurance may be purchased.

RETIREMENT
CFTOD contributes to the cost of your pension with the Florida Retirement System.
Employees have choice between the Pension Plan or the Investment Plan.

DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLANS
CFTOD offers both a traditional and Roth 457b option to assist you with your retirement savings. The District also matches part of your contribution each year.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE
Partial reimbursement for tuition and books

HOLIDAYS
CFTOD recognizes eight paid holidays. Holidays for employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement are as determined by such agreement.

BEREAVEMENT LEAVE
Bereavement leave is provided for all employees. Bereavement leave may be used for the death of an eligible defined family member.

SICK LEAVE
This is a paid benefit in which leave is accrued each pay period. The accrual rate for employees is determined by job classification.

VACATION
This is a paid benefit in which leave is accrued each pay period. The accrual rate for employees is determined by job classification and length of service.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Employees and members of their household are eligible to use this free benefit which includes telephone, face-to-face and web-based assistance to guide you through life’s challenges.

FINANCIAL WELLNESS PROGRAM
CFTOD provides a comprehensive financial wellness plan to assist you with your financial goals at no cost to you. This includes access to financial advisors.
